Mountain View Low Vision Services offers a wide variety of state-of-the-art products that are powerful, simple to use, and help individuals with vision loss to achieve their goals. We carry products from LVI America, Eschenbach, WayAround, Optelec, and more. MVLVS partners with other vendors to make sure our customers have access to products from all major companies including Vispero, OrCam and Iris Vision.
LVI, America
With the mission to make every day easier for people with visual impairments, LVI develops, produces and sells visual aids with high standards for reliability, simplicity and serviceability. LVI, America products, sold under the trademark MagniLink, are particularly well suited for education and employment environments.
Their popular video magnifiers, or CCTVs, are electronic devices that use a camera and a screen to enable users to read mail, books, medication bottles, and more. These commonly used devices come in different sizes with many different “bells and whistles”.
Eschenbach
There are many opportunities in everyday life when a vision aid can be beneficial and help improve one’s quality of life. If you find that reading, watching television or viewing an outdoor event is difficult – even with prescription glasses or contacts – Eschenbach can help! Our products enhance vision and change lives. MVLVS carries optical and electronic magnifying devices from Eschenbach. Examples of optical devices include hand-held magnifiers, telescopes, and high powered reading glasses. We do not carry higher powered optical devices as these are best prescribed and dispensed through a well-qualified low vision optometrist. MVLVS can refer to a practitioner in your area.
WayAround Labeling System
WayAround is the app for your smart device that provides on-demand details about everyday things. Use the app for iOS or Android and our smart WayTags™ to add helpful information to items around your home and office. The simple tag-and-scan system lets you add a custom description for any item plus more details like washing instructions or expiration dates.
Once you’ve listed everything you want to know, just hold your device close to the WayTag to transfer your information. Easy-peasy.

It is most helpful for people with vision loss to have what is called comprehensive vision rehabilitation. A comprehensive approach with a well qualified team offers the best results. We’ll listen to your story and point you in the right direction for the best possible care.
Workshops
Many people with low vision live in senior living communities. MVLVS has provided workshops at many of these places to help residents stay up to date on local resources, advances in rehabilitation, and the newest products.
Contract Services
MVLVS partners with primary care ODs in rural areas to help practices offer quality, profitable low vision care to your patients in your clinic. MVLVS also provides contract low vision rehabilitation services to agencies that serve people with vision loss.
